Living Stones & The Cornerstone

As you come to him, the living stone, rejected by people but chosen by God and precious to Him, you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be Cohanim set apart for God to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Him through
Yeshua the Messiah.

This is why the Tanakh says, “Look! I am laying in Tziyon a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone; and whoever rests his trust on it will certainly not be humiliated.”

Now to you who keep trusting, He is precious.
But to those who are not trusting, “ the very stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone”

1 Pet. 2:4-7 (CJB)

Milk Fed 1 Peter 2:1-3

Wherefore, Laying aside all malice, and all guile,

and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

As newborn babes,

Desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may Grow thereby:

If so be ye have Tasted that the LORD is gracious.

Love Of The Brethren 1 Peter 1:20-22

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,

1Peter 1:20-22

Father Judge Lamb 1 Peter 1:17-19

And if you call on the Father,

who without partiality judges according to each one’s work,

conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold,

from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

A Mind Ready For Battle 1 Peter 1:13-16

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind,
be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought
unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves
according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as He which hath called you is holy,
so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written,

Be ye holy; for I am holy.

What They Could Not See - 1 Peter 1:10-12

This salvation was something even the prophets wanted to know more about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you.

They wondered what time or situation the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ’s suffering and his great glory afterward.

They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.

It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching
these things happen.

Value Of Our Faith 1 Peter 1:6-9

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 1:6-9

You Have An Inheritance - 1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ,
who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again
to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God
through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
