Loving Submission Eph. 5:21-6:9

Eph. 5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. :22  Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. :23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. :24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, :26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, :27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. :28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. :29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. :30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

:31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”:32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. :33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Eph. 6:1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. :2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) :3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. :4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; :6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; :7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: :8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. :9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

Walk as Children of the Light Eph. 5:8-13

Eph. 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Imitators of God As Dear Children Eph. 5:1-7

Eph. 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. :2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
:3  But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; :4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. :5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. :6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. :7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

:25  Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. :26“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, :27 nor give place to the devil. :28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. :29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. :30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. :31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. :32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Putting Off Futility Eph 4:17

Eph. 4:17  This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, :18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; :19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
